Style
Project visual-language workspace for tone, palette, reference direction, and generation-ready style guidance.
Where It Fits
Style lives in Prep and should be reviewed before large storyboard, image, or video batches. It gives downstream generators a shared visual baseline instead of relying on one-off prompt wording.
Inputs
- Active project: all style decisions are stored against the selected project.
- Screenplay and breakdown context: use the latest script interpretation so style guidance matches the current story.
- Reference assets: stills, generated frames, imported imagery, and approved assets can become continuity references.
Working Pattern
- Open Style after the screenplay and Breakdowns are in a stable state.
- Review the project-wide tone, palette, medium, lens, lighting, and texture language.
- Add or approve references that should influence future images and videos.
- Save style changes before moving into Storyboarding or bulk generation.
- Revisit Style only when the project direction changes materially.
What To Avoid
- Do not treat Style as a per-shot prompt scratchpad. Use Storyboarding or the generators for shot-specific details.
- Do not overwrite approved style guidance casually once assets have already been generated from it.
- Do not use contradictory references unless the contrast is intentional and documented.
Troubleshooting
- If generated assets drift visually, check whether the Style page and generator settings disagree.
- If a reference does not appear downstream, confirm it is registered in the project Asset Browser and not only present in a local upload control.
- If Style is not available, confirm a project is selected and your account role is allowed to access prep pages.
Controls and Functions
| Control | Function | Output |
|---|---|---|
| Style fields | Edit tone, medium, palette, lighting, lens, texture, and visual-language notes. | Saved style guidance becomes reusable project context. |
| Reference picker | Attaches project assets as style references. | References become available to downstream prompt and generation flows. |
| Generate reference action | Creates style exploration imagery from current guidance. | New images are registered in the project asset library. |
| Approve/remove reference | Curates which references should guide production work. | Approved references are safer to reuse in storyboard and generator prompts. |
| Save/restore | Persists changes or reloads saved project state. | Use save before leaving the page or running large batches. |
