Purpose

Mixer is for audio decisions after assets exist. Use it to inspect channels, balance levels, work with stems, and prepare audio for timeline review or final export.

Inputs

  • Generated or uploaded dialogue, narration, music, and effects from the Asset Browser.
  • Timeline clips when audio work is tied to an edit.
  • Transcribed or indexed audio when speech-aware actions are needed.

Common Tasks

  • Level balancing: set relative volume between voice, effects, and music.
  • Pan and channel work: adjust placement when supported by the selected audio data.
  • Stem separation: create editable layers from mixed audio where available.
  • Voice changes: prepare alternate dialogue or narration treatments before final assembly.

Workflow

  1. Select or load the audio assets that need review.
  2. Check technical metadata and playback quality before applying changes.
  3. Balance levels against the intended scene or timeline context.
  4. Export or save approved results back to the project asset library.

Troubleshooting

  • If an operation is unavailable, confirm the selected asset type and metadata support it.
  • If audio sounds out of sync in the final edit, check timeline clip placement before changing the source asset.
  • If speech-aware tools produce weak results, refresh transcription or use a cleaner source file.
